On July 24, at Planeta's Buonivini winery in the hills of the Val di Noto, under the light of a full moon, the first edition of Planeta Sessions took place — a project realized by Planeta with Kadmonia and Radiceterna Arte e Ambiente. The aim was to consolidate the bond between Planeta and its territory through a hybrid encounter between two contemporary languages: art and music. The event had been previewed on July 10 by Planeta, Kadmonia and Radiceterna Arte e Ambiente, again at Buonivini.

Dedicated to the moon — an atavic element of connection between human and nature, between earth and sky — the first edition of Planeta Sessions integrated music, art and nature into a single experience to be approached immersively. The exhibition Lontanissima Luna, curated by Ignazio Mortellaro and Valentina Bruschi, unfolded as a single macro-installation to be walked through, intersecting organically with the sonic explorations of artists of international stature, ranging from impro-sets to immersive ambient live performances and electronic experimentation.
