ANTICO + Key Clef

Inner Spaces, Linecheck Music Meeting and Festival and Kadmonia present a special evening with ANTICO and Key Clef at Auditorium San Fedele.

On November 9, 2026, Alfio Antico, Lorenzo Urciullo and Mario Conte will bring ANTICO back to the stage, marking the tenth anniversary of their first album and its forthcoming reissue on Bongo Joe Records.

Alfio Antico is one of the world’s great masters of the frame drum and one of the few living bearers of Sicily’s ancient oral musical tradition. His knowledge was shaped long before encountering written music, through listening, repetition and the direct transmission of gestures, rhythms and songs from one generation to the next.

First released in 2016, ANTICO anticipated many of the paths that contemporary music would later explore: a renewed attention to roots, oral transmission and sound as a form of embodied knowledge. The work of Lorenzo Urciullo and Mario Conte is essential in bringing out the depth and power of Alfio’s musical language, creating a space in which his voice, gestures and rhythms can resonate in new and unexpected ways.

Opening the evening is Key Clef, the project of Berlin-based artist Livia Borzetti. Her solo performance for modular synthesizer, conceived for spatial sound diffusion, will explore the relationship between electronic sound, movement and the architecture of the listening space—an ideal encounter with the immersive possibilities of the San Fedele acusmonium.
