La Niña
Vocal alchemy between Mediterranean roots and electronics.
La Niña is the project of a Neapolitan singer and songwriter whose voice moves between the ancient and the contemporary, between the devotional chants of Southern Italy and the open horizons of electronic music. Her work begins in the oral tradition — the tammurriate, the lamenti, the votive songs that have crossed centuries of Mediterranean memory — and translates that material into a personal, modern language.
Rather than reconstruct folklore, La Niña inhabits it. Her compositions treat the voice as a ritual instrument: layered, multiplied, processed, often surrounded by synthetic textures and percussive bodies that recall both ancestral drums and club music. The result is a sound that feels at once liturgical and physical, intimate and collective.
On stage, her performances are conceived as ceremonies. Stripped of ornament, focused on breath and presence, they explore what it means to sing today from a place of cultural inheritance — and to do so without nostalgia, with full awareness of the present.
La Niña is in management with Kadmonia for live, creative direction and label relations.
