La Niña

La Niña is the solo project of Carola Moccia, a singer, songwriter and producer born in 1991, a pioneer in bringing tradition into dialogue with contemporary music while projecting it into the future. Moving between experimentation and hybridization, and using the evocative, powerful language of her city Naples as a vehicle, her research spans singing and writing, theater and film, dance and the visual arts. In December 2025, Rolling Stone UK named her one of the "Best Independent Artists of 2025," praising her ability to merge Mediterranean mysticism with modern electronic music and sharp urban realism.

Her latest album FURÈSTA (March 2025) won the Tenco Award for Best Album in Dialect and was followed by a yearlong European tour with sold-out shows in Berlin, Brussels and London, closing with two special performances at the Teatro Grande in the Pompeii excavations in September 2026. Her latest single RÀRECHE (July 2026) marks the start of her recording journey with Sugar Music. In March 2026 she received the Premio Paco Martín de las Músicas Globales at Cartagena's La Mar de Músicas festival.

Alongside her music, she made her debut as a film composer with the original score for "Il fuoco che ti porti dentro," in Competition at the Venice Film Festival 2026 — the first Italian female artist to score a film in Competition there — winning the Soundtrack Stars Award 2026 for Best Original Score. Her profile spans fashion and media too: a performance at Milan Fashion Week for Etro, a Bulgari campaign alongside Kaytranada, an IKEA Italy campaign, a live session for KEXP, and a July 2026 cover story for L'Officiel Italia, which named her "The Rising Star" of its Entertainment Issue.
